At least 2 Interstate tournaments must be included in the 8 to be used for any player's Ranking.
The Fred Osbourne Memorial Snooker is deemed to be in both VIC and NSW and therefore not considered an Interstate tournament for players from either State.

5. Ranking Positions
The Ranking positions will be calculated from points received for the 8 largest points totals from events contested. Until the required number of tournaments has been reached a players total points earned from all events will count. (If a player only contests three events then his total is all the three events he entered, however if a player contests nine or more events then only his 8 best points results will count to his Ranking.)

6. Annual Calendar for National Ranking Scheme
The year will commence after the National Championship and all points except the preceding years will be removed thereby giving the starting points for the new year. At each tournament from then on the points earned in the current year will replace the points from the preceding year.

7. Suspensions or Bans
Players under suspensions or bans by the IBSF, ABSC or its Affiliates will be ineligible to enter any National Ranking Tournaments. Furthermore the ABSC will support bans imposed by Clubs where players have breached the acceptable Code of Conduct required for entry to that Club's premises.
